Summary of all the reflection
In today’s digital age, Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) tools have transformed the way we teach, learn,
and collaborate. From visual learning platforms to real-time communication and
co-editing tools, ICT empowers both students and educators to engage, create,
and grow in a flexible, inclusive, and innovative educational environment.
YouTube: Learning Comes Alive with Every Click
Imagine a platform where millions of videos bring
learning to life with visuals, sounds, and real-time demonstrations—that’s
YouTube. As an ICT informative tool, YouTube revolutionizes how information is
delivered and absorb. YouTube transforms education by making learning visual,
engaging, and accessible to all. It offers a vast library of educational videos
that cater to different learning styles—whether it’s watching experiments,
tutorials, or storytelling. Students can learn at their own pace by pausing,
rewinding, or replaying content. The platform encourages curiosity and
self-directed learning beyond textbooks. For educators, YouTube provides an
easy way to supplement lessons with high-quality multimedia resources, making
complex topics easier to understand and more memorable.
Google Docs: Collaboration Made Effortless and
Instant

seamlessly on the same document no matter where they are? Google Docs makes
this possible, positioning itself as a premier ICT co-constructive tool. Google
Docs redefines teamwork by allowing multiple users to work together on the same
document in real-time, no matter where they are. This seamless collaboration
promotes active participation, peer learning, and creativity. Its cloud-based
system ensures work is automatically saved and accessible anytime, empowering
students and teachers to continue their tasks without interruption. Features

Zoom: Communicative Tool
Zoom were a person, it would definitely be that super chatty friend who’s
always ready to connect you with anyone, anywhere, at any time! As a teacher
trainee navigating the world of online learning, I’ve come to realize that Zoom
is much more than just a video app, it is a lively communication platform that
breaks down walls and brings people together.
One thing I really appreciate about Zoom is how
user-friendly it is. Whether I’m joining an online class, participating in
group discussions, or chatting with peers, its simple interface makes
communication smooth and accessible for everyone. This is especially important
for learners like me who are still adjusting to digital tools and want to stay
connected without frustration.
Zoom’s real-time features such as video, audio,
chat, and screen sharing make it feel almost like being in a physical
classroom. Features like the “raise hand” function, interactive polls, and
breakout rooms encourage active participation. These tools help create a
collaborative and engaging learning environment, even when we are miles apart.
Another great advantage of Zoom is its
flexibility. I can join classes, meetings, or training sessions from home or
anywhere with internet access. This is especially valuable in a country like
Bhutan, where the landscape can make travel difficult. With Zoom, learning and
communication can continue smoothly, without being limited by geography.
Through Zoom, I’ve also been able to attend Y-peer workshops. These opportunities allow me to build communication skills and explore innovative teaching strategies—all from the comfort of my own space. Zoom opens doors to global learning experiences that would otherwise be hard to access.
However, Zoom is also comes with challenges. Unstable internet connections and “Zoom fatigue” can make online learning tiring at times. That’s why it’s important to take regular breaks and strike a healthy balance between online and offline activities.
Overall, Zoom is a powerful ICT communication
tool that supports meaningful, inclusive, and flexible learning. For a
teacher-in-training like me, it plays a vital role in helping me connect, grow,
and prepare for the future of education in today’s digital world.
(I attended a YPEER core member meeting where I used Zoom to collaborate and communicate with my friends. The online platform helped us share ideas, plan activities, and stay connected despite being in different locations.)

Co-constructive Tool: Google Docs
They say teamwork makes the dream work, but in
reality, managing group projects can often feel like juggling flaming torches especially
when everyone is emailing different versions of the same document. This chaos
led me to truly appreciate the power of Google Docs, a transformative ICT tool
that has revolutionized collaboration in education and beyond.
From my personal experience, Google Docs stands out
as an exceptional co-constructive tool. It allows multiple users to collaborate
on a single document in real-time, making brainstorming, writing, and editing a
seamless and dynamic process. During one of our group assignments on lesson
planning, my peers and I used Google Docs to co-create our plan. We could
contribute our ideas, comment on others’, and refine the content together,
regardless of where we were physically located.
One of the most impressive features of Google Docs
is its accessibility. Since it is cloud-based, I can access my documents from
any device with internet connectivity. Whether I begin working at the ICT lab
on a desktop, continue editing on my phone between classes, or make final
touches from my laptop at home, everything syncs perfectly. The automatic
saving function is another huge advantage as it eliminates the anxiety of
losing progress due to technical issues.
Google Docs also fosters a strong culture of
communication and co-creation. The commenting and suggestion features allow for
meaningful peer feedback and collaborative editing without altering the
original text. These tools support critical thinking and help students learn
from one another’s perspectives. Moreover, the sharing settings provide
flexibility and control where users can assign different permissions such as
view-only, comment, or full editing rights ensuring a safe and inclusive
learning space.
Overall, Google Docs is more than just a digital
writing platform. It is a collaborative workspace that encourages creativity,
responsibility, teamwork, and continuous learning. It has significantly
enhanced how I approach group projects and is an indispensable tool in today’s
digital learning environment.

Informative Tool: YouTube
Imagine turning your classroom into a space that spans the entire world where science experiments come alive, historical events are reenacted, and complex math problems are solved step by step by experts from every corner of the globe. That’s exactly what YouTube offers: a virtual gateway to endless information. YouTube has become one of the most effective and widely used ICT tools for students, especially as an informative platform that supports learning across a wide range of subjects.
As a college student, I regularly turn to YouTube to reinforce my
understanding of complex topics. When I encounter challenging concepts, I seek
out videos that offer clear explanations through step-by-step demonstrations,
real-life applications, and engaging visuals. This method of learning is
especially effective because it allows me to study at my own pace as I can
pause, rewind, or re watch sections as needed to fully grasp the material. This
flexibility not only strengthens my comprehension but also enhances my
long-term retention of key concepts.
In addition, YouTube caters to different learning styles. Visual learners
benefit from diagrams and animations, auditory learners can follow verbal
explanations, and kinesthetic learners can watch demonstrations of practical
activities. This multimedia approach makes learning more accessible and
effective for a wider range of students. YouTube also encourages independent
learning and curiosity. With just a few clicks, students can explore topics
beyond the syllabus. This not only builds knowledge but also develops research
skills and a lifelong love of learning.
In conclusion, YouTube
is a powerful informative tool that enhances traditional education by offering
a wide variety of content that is engaging, flexible, and easy to understand.
It supports personalized learning, accommodates different learning styles, and
brings topics to life through visuals and real-world examples. By making
high-quality educational resources freely available, YouTube empowers students
to take charge of their learning both inside and outside the classroom. When
used wisely, it can turn challenges into opportunities and make education not
just effective, but exciting and inspiring.
(The video “What is POLLUTION?” by Peekaboo Kidz explains types of pollution in a fun, child-friendly way, using animations and simple language. This shows how YouTube serves as an informative tool by connecting learners to engaging educational content that simplifies complex topics and makes learning more effective.)
